Introduction

Department of Geography was established in 1969 at general level, and in 1972 at special level. PG program in M.A./M.Sc. was introduced in the academic year 2010-11. Geography Department was recognized as Research Centre in the academic year 2017-18 and runs M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes. Geography Department of the college is a role model for various other colleges in the region for their continuous co-curricullar, research and extention activities.
