Principal's Message

Warm Greetings to one and all

I would like to pen down a few words about my college. Our College belongs to Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal, Chopda which has rich academic tradition in chopda Dist Jalgaon (M.S.). Arts, Science and Commerce College, Chopda was established in 1969.The College is affiliated to the Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (M.S.).The College is grant in aided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under 2(f) and 12(B). As an important rural educational centre, presently the college consists of Junior (Arts, Sci., Comm. and M.C.V.C.) and Senior College wings with UG (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.B.A. and B.C.A.) PG (M.A., M.Com., M.Sc. and M.B.M.), Research and career oriented courses. It caters to the educational needs of students dwelling in rural areas around Chopda tehsil.

The teachers use learner-centric teaching–learning methods to cater to the diversity in the aptitudes, intelligence, learning styles and interests of the students. They use non-traditional, innovative teaching methods and tools in ICT.

At present education is undergoing a sea change and it is quite understandable that it becomes difficult to make decisions about which course to choose. So our college is intensely engaged with career counseling cell promoting 'Earn and Learn' project to provide employment opportunity to our college students. Students are also felicities with campus interviews, where they get hands on experience to face interview boldly and seek job employment in leading corporate companies, banks etc.

During the last two decades, The college has taken a giant leap in introducing conventional, vocational, Career and job-oriented programmers at UG, PG and Research levels benefiting thousands of students and empowering a large number of rural students. The vertical and horizontal expansion of the college campus into an academic centre of excellence has put our college on educational map of the state.

We are taking every step to strengthen our supremacy in academic and research programmers, infrastructure, placements, extension co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

I am a happy person as management, teaching as well as non-teaching staff, stakeholders and students are rendering their wholehearted support and co-operation to make the college the centre of Excellence.
